Holy Moly.

It's been a long time since I was on here. Apparently, the "I'm gonna try and update this weekly" thing really didn't happen.

Well, it's summer now and I've graduated. Until I get a 'real job' I'm gonna have a lot of time on my hands. That means crafting fun. First up on the list is scrapbooking. Because, man, I'm waaaaay behind. I'll post pictures as things get done. (Hopefully they get done.) *FingersCrossed!*

Perhaps, hopefully a weekly blog?

I'm hoping this'll be a weekly blog. So far that's not happenin' and between school and crafts it might not be possible. When I work on a project, it tends to monopolize my time. When I get done with one, though, I come out of my deep, dark, crafty hole. I've just finished a huge project. So, I figured I'd post some pictures. Unfortunately, they aren't of the most recent project, but that's okay. The newest one (photos coming soon) evolved out of these.

I got some inspiration to make a few felt iPod cases. These particular cases fit a first Gen iPod Touch and iPod Classics. So here are a few with some more to come...

Some of these don't have the lining in. But that's okay. I've also made a Boston Red Sox 'B', a Flying Spaghetti Monster, a cute little Lady Bug named 'Mo', and a few others that aren't pictured yet. Hopefully soon. :]

These aren't very hard to make. I used Felt for the outside [which is also super cheap] and all of the cases above were sewed by hand. The edges would look more polished if made by a sewing machine. That's going to be my new M.O. The detailed stitching was all done by hand. The lining was spare fabric laying around. Fairly cheap to make. And loads of fun to be had only restricted by your creativity. [Sounds corny, but whatev.]

I haven't made them for smaller iPods or phones, perhaps I'll try that next.

Happy crafting. :]

The Obligatory First Post

You know what? It seems to me that there is entirely too much pressure on this first post. It sets the standard for how the blog will be done in the future. So just to throw that off... or maybe to let you know that this blog will probably jump around a bit, I'm not going to make this a crafty post. This is to break the ice. To say hi. So, hello. :]
